Alterações secundárias no covid-19: uma revisão bibliográfica

Introdução. O surto da nova doença de coronavírus (COVID-19) na China se espalhou pelo mundo, tornando-se uma emergência de grande preocupação internacional. O novo coronavírus pertence às espécies β dos coronavírus, que são transmitidos principalmente através de gotículas respiratórias. Podendo os sintomas da infecção envolver vários sistemas, incluindo respiratório, gastrointestinal, musculoesquelético e neurológico. Objetivo. Relatar a percepção de alterações secundárias de pacientes com infecção por SARS-CoV-2 em aspectos neurológicos, cognitivos e funcionais. Método. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica, com busca nas bases de dados PubMed e Science Direct, entre o período de abril de 2020 e maio de 2021. Resultados. A presença dos distúrbios gustativos e olfativos se apresentaram em 5 dos estudos examinados, além de outros sintomas mais comuns como a cefaleia e tontura. Sobre a Síndrome de Guillain-Barré (SGB), quatro dos estudos analisados apresentaram casos de pacientes com diagnóstico de SGB e SARS-CoV-2, mostrando uma possível associação entre as patologias, assim como no acidente vascular cerebral. Conclusão. As manifestações neurológicas apresentaram ocorrência frequente no curso da doença. Com grande parte destas alterações acontecendo em estágios iniciais da infecção, ocorrendo ou não em conjunto aos sintomas típicos da infecção. Podendo até mesmo serem as únicas manifestações da infecção, bem como, serem as responsáveis por maiores complicações no quadro clínico dos pacientes.
