Abstract

This issue of the journal discusses social protection during the pandemic. The first part includes articles in Spanish and Portuguese on public policies aimed at vulnerable families and food security, addressing the impact of Covid-19 and the response of social policies. It highlights interdisciplinary research and the specific challenges faced in different regions. The second part focuses on intervention practices in social work, with master's theses analyzing labor market insertion policies and ongoing education within the social assistance system. The pandemic has highlighted the need for more robust social policies and comprehensive social services to address poverty and inequality.
