Abstract

This article presents the results of an exploratory study carried out in two schools in São Paulo, one private and the other public, in order to identify the communication forms between managers and teachers. Considering, as a starting point, the existence of a communications gaps in communication process in schools, we sought to assess the situation - which we understand to be critical - and seek elements that could contribute to facing this issue that challenges managers of public and private educational institutions. , at all educational levels. Such a study is necessary in the school environment, since the proliferation of technologies and their use has increasingly become a natural path, without a critical assessment of their potential and limitations, especially about democratic management and communication as an auxiliary element of technology. In the study undertaken, we found factors that need to be taken into account to discuss a model of educational communication that aligns technology and democratic management, such as the commitment of management and teachers to adopt an educational technological culture, create forms of communication that help management democracy and make available technological resources for such purposes.
