Abstract

From the policy of inclusion in the educational system of people with disabilities, school units started to deal with a new demand: the adaptation of the curriculum and the school space to the singularities of this public. Several tools were used to bring about this adaptation, such as the one studied by this article, the Multifunctional Resource Room. The functions of this room in schools and its role in the inclusion policy will be analyzed. As the scope of the article, the proposals and the installation of these rooms in the Municipal Education Network of São Paulo will be analyzed, checking if there is agreement between the needs of an inclusion policy and the installation of the Multifunctional Resource Rooms in the educational network mentioned.
