Abstract

This article shows a critical analysis of the results on the effect of Covid-19 caused by the Sar-CoV-2 virus considering the coping strategies in Germany and Italy to provide support to reduce mortality in Brazil. Using the comparison between deaths, by state and by age with data obtained from the IBGE and the Transparency Civil Registry website, the years 2019 and 2020 were compared with the intention of assessing the impact of the disease in relation to the number of deaths by localities and age groups along the lines of measurements made by the Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (ISTAT). The results may contribute to decisions on reducing social isolation taking into account the behavior of risk groups and other public policy discussions that are effective in an epidemiological and actuarial approach to guide government actions based on facts and experiences in Germany and Italy.
