Abstract

Based on bibliographic sources, primary documents, illustrated commercial catalogues, photographs, and period advertisements, this research conducts a comparative analysis between Brazilian and European production models, identifying the main agents involved, as well as the materials and techniques used in the making of medievalist-style devotional sculptures in Brazil during the eclectic period.
