Abstract

Translation into Portuguese of the article by Marie Schiele, originally published in the French magazine Cahiers Philosophiques in 2020, in an issue dedicated especially to ornament. Schiele’s text acquires relevance by exploring the investigations on the expressiveness of ornament present in the writings of Aby Warburg, specifically from the draping perspective, which ends up offering elements of study for several lines of research, in areas ranging from art history to psychology, from aesthetics to fashion.
