Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Heraclitus on Camus's ethical idea of limit. First, the fragments of Heraclitus that deal with lógos and opposites are explained.  Subsequently, the French and Spanish editions of the works in which Camus mentions Heraclitus are traced, in order to provoke a reflection on the convergences and divergences between the two authors. The conclusions suggest that Camus's notion of limit is expressed through an ethics of equilibrium, influenced by Heraclitus’ idea of harmony.
