Abstract

The author of paper deals with teachers' professional ethics, its theoretical and practical implementation at present. She stresses the need for the ethics of teaching in the theoretical and practical training of future teachers. She presents some ethical theory of Slovak and foreign authors and demonstrates the level of their application in practice. The author considers that the ethics of teaching should be a tool of professional and moral practice of each teacher. Considering the current not very favorable situation in the Slovak educational system, we witness to the fact that theoretical knowledge is often disagreed with practical realization in everyday work of the teacher.
