Instrumentos de avaliação da função motora para indivíduos com lesão encefálica adquirida

Os instrumentos de avaliação da função motora disponibilizam medidas padronizadas que permitem aos profissionais determinar objetivos, condutas terapêuticas e mensurar a eficácia do processo de reabilitação, além de facilitar a elaboração de pesquisas científicas. O presente estudo de revisão teve o objetivo de identificar e analisar os instrumentos de avaliação da função motora disponíveis na literatura designados aos indivíduos com seqüelas de lesões encefálicas adquiridas. Resultados. Foram encontrados quatro instrumentos de avaliação que preenchiam os critérios de inclusão deste estudo, sendo esses Fugl Meyer Assessment, Rivermead Stroke Assessment, Motor Assessment Scale e Chedoke McMaster Stroke Assessment. Conclusão. A escolha do instrumento de avaliação mais adequado dependerá das características do serviço ao qual ele será destinado levando em consideração algumas variáveis como tempo, custo e equipamento para sua aplicação, além da necessidade e do custo do treinamento para utilização do mesmo.
