Virtual Museum: teaching zoology and Environmental Education from a different perspective, before and after Covid-19

Abstract

Technology, increasingly inserted in everyday life, allows the world to become more connected. The present work aimed to report the process of construction of the virtual museum of Zoology and Natural History, as well as the construction of knowledge by the biological sciences students of the Unicesumar University in the discipline of Zoology, analyzing through reports of experience of the academics involved in the construction of knowledge about Environmental Education (EA), and the impacts that this tool can generate in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The museum provided a critical thinking space for students on biodiversity, preservation, and environmental education (EA). In times of social isolation demanded by COVID-19, the museum made it possible to share experiences among all, making it an important tool in this period.

  • Felipe Zavaski, Universidade Cesumar

    He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Center for Higher Education of Maringá (2019). He is currently a student in the graduate program in Clean Technologies - PPGTL - University Cesumar.

  • Larissa Wachholz, Universidade Cesumar

    Master's student of the Graduate Program in Clean Technologies (PPGTL) of the University CESUMAR. Bachelor's degree in Fashion (with emphasis in Modeling and Product Development) from the State University of Maringá - Regional Campus of Cianorte. Scientific Initiation Project with the theme Design Strategies and Sustainable Clothing Consumption (2016-2017). Participated in the Tissue Extension Project at the State University of Maringá
