Objective. This pilot study aims to characterize the audiological profile of gas station attendants through a comprehensive analysis. Method. This was a pilot study, consisting of audiological assessments to identify possible complaints and disorders related to hearing. Audiological exams were performed: audiometry, immitantiometry, transient evoked otoacoustic emissions (TEOAE), distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPEOAE), and Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BERA). Results. Six gas station attendants were evaluated, aged between 20 and 34 years. While the majority reported tinnitus (33.2%) and otalgia (16.6%). Although audiometric thresholds remained within standard limits (100%), a slight increase in thresholds was noted in frequencies from 4kHz to 8kHz. All participants presented a "pass" response in TEOAE and DPOAE at frequencies from 2 to 5kHz in both ears. BERA results indicated normal absolute latencies of waves I, III, and V, with interpeaks within normal ranges and high replicability (100%) in both ears. Conclusions. It was possible to identify normality in the audiological exams performed on gas station attendants. However, in pure tone audiometry, despite hearing thresholds being within normal limits, a slight increase in high frequencies was observed, which may be related to exposure to noise and toluene.
