Perfil dos pacientes acometidos por AVC no sul de Santa Catarina

Introdução.O Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) acomete parcela significativa da população, principalmente aquela com fatores de risco prévios, gerando consequências graves. Objetivo. Avaliar o perfil epidemiológico de pacientes acometidos por AVC atendidos pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) em uma cidade do sul catarinense, Brasil. Método. Estudo analítico transversal com coleta de dados secundários de 140 prontuários de pacientes após AVC maiores de 18 anos e atendidos na Policlínica do SUS. A análise de associação entre variáveis qualitativas decorreu dos testes Qui-quadrado de Pearson e Exato de Fisher. Resultados. A média de idade do último AVC foi de 62,39±11,75 anos, 57,9% dos casos foram indivíduos do sexo masculino, 80% dos casos eram do subtipo isquêmico. Acerca das complicações, no subtipo isquêmico, foram encontradas complicações motoras unilaterais em 51,3%, 23,7% indicações de acompanhamento com fisioterapia, além de 22,4% de complicações na fala e 11,8% indicações fonoaudiológicas. Já em relação ao subtipo hemorrágico, pode-se observar 25,0% de complicações na fala, 12,5% indicações de atendimento fonoaudiológico, 56,25% complicações motoras unilaterais e 18,7% de indicações para fisioterapia. Conclusão. Nesse estudo, a faixa etária de 52 a 74 anos foi correlacionada com o subtipo isquêmico e idade de 45 a 69 anos com o hemorrágico. Além disso, não foi observada associação entre as variáveis sexo, fatores de risco prévios, comorbidades adquiridas e indicações de atendimento multiprofissional com o subtipo de AVC.
