Abstract

This review aims to present Marcos Nobre's book Limites da Democracia: De junho de 2013 ao governo Bolsonaro (Limits of Democracy: From June 2013 to the Bolsonaro government) released in 2022. In this review, the author's main analytical proposals are presented to analyze the political, economic, and social events that occurred in Brazil in recent years, more specifically, the demonstrations of June 2013, the election of Jair Bolsonaro in 2018 and the crisis of Brazilian democracy. The book has four chapters that are explored in this review, allowing the reader to have a first contact with the main concepts and discussions carried out by the author in his work. Finally, this review explores how the publication of Nobre's book is an indispensable reference that provides a critical overview of recent events in the Brazilian political context.
