Between Disciplines: Classical , Ancient History, and Classical Studies in Brazil

This text proposes a personal reflection on the boundaries and intersections between Classical Language and Literature, Ancient History, and Classical Studies in Brazil. We aim to examine how these fields are institutionally structured within Brazilian universities from a critical perspective, contrasting them with other possible models. We consider it highly important to reflect on the specificities of studying Antiquity within a Brazilian context—a peripheric and multilingual one.
