Abstract

This article follows the process of organizing the documentary collection of the Instituto da Cultura Árabe (Icarabe), carried out with the aim of structuring and consolidating the institution as a center of memory. Starting from the initial diagnosis of the collection, the text presents the choices made throughout the work, the motivations that underpinned the decision to adopt the memory center as a model institution for preservation, and the stages developed so far. Our objective is to collaborate with the technical and conceptual structuring of the collection for the organization, preservation, and valorization of the Arab memory present there.
