Abstract

In this text, I discuss Patricia Hill Collins' stay at the Graduate Program in Social Sciences at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), as part of the Program Anpocs-Fulbright (PAF) of academic cooperation.

Author Biography

  • Melvina Afra Mendes de Araújo, Universidade Federal de São Paulo - Unifesp

    Anthropologist, associate professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), and associate researcher at the Institut Français de Recherche en Afrique (IFRA – Nairobi). The author conducts research in the areas of political anthropology, anthropology of religion, and anthropology of contemporary Africa. She conducts fieldwork in Kenya.
