A FORMAÇÃO DO/A ASSISTENTE SOCIAL EM CURSO DE GRADUAÇÃO A DISTÂNCIA: UMA ABORDAGEM REFLEXIVA DO OLHAR DOCENTE

Abstract

 

This study focused on the formation process of social workers in distance undergraduate courses. Its main objective was to verify if the formation process of Social Workers in Distance Education (EAD) is in line with the principles and guidelines that underpin the formation of social workers. To achieve this goal, we adopted a qualitative-quantitative, exploratory, and descriptive research approach, using primary sources such as electronic questionnaire application and secondary sources based on literature in the field of Social Work. For the analysis of the collected data, we opted for the application of the Collective Subject Discourse. The main results showed that the hypothesis raised was confirmed, as we found that Higher Education Institutions, through the respective Pedagogical Projects of the Social Work Course, prioritize the observance and applicability of the principles and guidelines that underpin the professional formation of social workers, aiming to train qualified professionals for their practice. Weaknesses were identified regarding the labor relationship between HEIs and teachers, due to the overload of academic activities, without adequate salary compensation for these purposes. On the other hand, there is a perceived need for continuous training in the use of relevant technological resources for this modality. To contribute to this dissertation, a technical product was developed aimed at permanently training the teaching staff of HEIs to promote their development and improve the quality of distance education, highlighting the relevance and access to education for users of this formative modality.
