LA EDUCACIÓN E INVESTIGACIÓN ABIERTA: REFLEXIONES Y DESAFIOS PARA AMÉRICA LATINA Y EL CARIBE

Abstract

This text addresses the importance of fostering institutional and regional collaboration to promote open education and research. Definitions of open education and research are highlighted, as well as their impact on the mission and strategies of higher education institutions. The need to understand these practices in specific contexts is emphasized, and a reflection is offered to inspire researchers and institutional leaders to adopt them. The European model is analyzed in comparison with the situation in Latin America and the Caribbean, and ideas and best practices are proposed to institutionalize open education and research.
