It examines the meaning of aversion towards the poor, highlighting aporophobia and its social, political, and media roots. It also addresses poverty in Brazil, affecting areas such as health, education, and the job market, especially for marginalized groups. The text raises questions about public policies, workforce integration, and educational recovery post-health crisis, emphasizing the need to overcome the cycle of poverty. It reflects on the advances and challenges on the bicentennial of independence, stressing the importance of respecting emotions and recognizing the resilience of the poor.
