Resumo

Este artigo pretende fazer uma revisão sistemática sobre o componente do Buffer Episódico introduzido no Modelo de Memória de Trabalho de Baddeley em 2000, como forma de responder a algumas das críticas colocadas ao modelo. Para o fazer iremos explorar o conceito pro­priamente dito e a forma como ele tem sido investigado ao longo da última década, através de uma revisão de literatura. Serão explorados com particular detalhe os processos de binding e chunking.
