Mirror Visual Feedback na Recuperação Motora e Funcional da Mão Após Acidente Vascular Cerebral

Objetivo. Verificar o efeito da técnica Mirror Visual Feedback na recuperação motora e funcional da mão plégica após o AVC. Método. participaram desse estudo seis pacientes com idade média de 53,8±15 anos e tempo de AVC de 7±8,6 meses. Para avaliação da independência nas atividades da vida diária foi utilizada a Medida de Independência Funcional (MIF). A função motora foi avaliada através do Protocolo de Desempenho Físico de Fugl-Meyer (PDFFM) e as habilidades motoras através do Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT). A técnica MVF foi individualmente aplicada durante 10 sessões, duas vezes por semana. Os pacientes realizaram movimentos com sua mão não afetada pelo AVC enquanto observavam através do espelho. Resultados. melhora estatisticamente significativa (p<0,05) da função motora (PDFFM) e da independência nas atividades da vida diária (MIF). Melhora na destreza (p<0,05) mensurada pelo WMFT. Dois pacientes evidenciaram bom uso funcional da mão, um desenvolveu capacidade de uso parcial e três não transferiram os ganhos adquiridos na clínica para o dia-a-dia. Conclusões. A recuperação de movimentos ativos na mão após o AVC é apenas o ponto de partida. Sugerem-se estudos randomizados e controlados, agregando outras técnicas com objetivo de favorecer a recuperação funcional.
