Resumo

The article deals with the importance given to the war by historians of antiquity as an important part of his narrative construction and description of the deeds of great men. It seeks to deepen the importance of the war for the construction of men considered wise and important to the historian Diodorus of Sicily as the story is, for him, a court, where everyone will be judged for good or for evil.

Biografia do Autor

Cynthia Cristina de Morais Mota, Federal University of Rondônia

Graduação em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1994) e mestrado em História pela mesma universidade (2000). Doutora em História Social pela USP (2008). Professora de História Antiga e Medieval, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: História grega e romana e Historiografia helenística. Atualmente estuda a obra de Claudio Eliano sobre os animais e possui projeto de extensão sobre teatro greco-romano. Professora de História Antiga e Medieval na Universidade Federal de Rondônia (UNIR).
