Analysis of influence of tourist on fish behaviour in river Olho d’Água, Jardim (MS, Brazil) ABSTRACT The practice of ecotourism in nature reserves is important for human contact with nature. The use of these locations for this activity has considered low impact and at the same time stimulate knowledge, promote environmental education. However, the heavy flow of tourists may cause irreversible impacts for the dinamic of this environment. In this context, the present study aimed to analyze the flow of visitors influence on fish behavior in the Olho d’Água River, RPPN (private reserve of natural heritage) Fazenda Cabeceira do Prata, town of Jardim, (MS, Brazil). The research used the behavioral observation like a method for six species of fish, which were monitored in active and inactive for tourist visitation, in high and low season. The sampling effort had registered through direct observation of the species, with the use of equipment and clothing suitable for underwater work. To determine which of the assessed factors significantly influence each measured behavior, used a variance Factorial Analysis of repeated measures (factor ANOVA MR), where the factor A is kind of fish, Factor B is the area (active and inactive), Factor C is the season (low and high). The time is the factor of repeated measurements. According to the results of a factorial ANOVA MR, it was found that the season factor has no significant influence on the behavior of those species. Similarly, it was found that the factors that had a significant influence, were the area, the time and the interaction between species.
