Resumo

Is "time" a significant social category for conceptualizing the public sphere? This question almost inevitably directs our focus toward "space" as a social dimension for reflection and analysis. With the advent of digital media, however, another social dimension of the public sphere comes to the fore: time. We argue that a proper understanding of the digital public sphere must account for its temporal structures.
